We went to Pappasitos at the Hilton. Our server Joseph was wonderful! Attentive, patiently answered all of our questions and made suggestions (that we took). The food was equally wonderful: fresh, large servings and (important to me) served hot. I will definitely return when in Houston again; maybe before I leave

Service was provided by bartender. He was great despite handling all the drinks, cleaning, and running food. Great job today. The bar is clean and comfortable. Enough space to eat a huge meal, which I did. Triple combo of Beef Fajita, RIbs and Shrimp Brochette was amazing. All three meats were so tasty. The steak fajita with those grilled onions and bell peppers was a 10/10. Believe it out but, the shrimp was even better. I loved every bite and savored each time I chewed. Wait. It gets better. The ribs were the best part of the meal. Savory and sweet combined. In loved it. You have to try this plate. Share it with a loved one, just don't fight. I can't wait to have my wife try this place. Simply amazing. Great job.

We went to Pappasitos before attending a concert at Toyota Center. The place was very busy because there were many events going on, baseball and a festival. We got there around 630pm on Saturday night. We were told 45 minute to wait but we were seated after about 30 mins. Once seated, Marco took great care of us by quickly bringing our drinks and took our food order. It took awhile to get everything but it was expected because of the crowds. Good thing we were walking distance to the venue. This location is excellent when attending downtown events. We had shrimp tacos and quesadilla and a glass of wine. Food was excellent as always.

One year later and huge redemption. The food was so much better this time. The service was excellent and I could not have been more happy with the turnaround. They were busy with the marathon traffic again and you could tell they were a bit stressed. The chips were good, but unfortunately, there were a lot that were not separated when they fried them and those gooey chips are gross. The place was very clean and the overall attitude was very easy going. Service was not fast, but it was also not too terribly slow. Tables were being turned and cleaned quickly, which was nice. Very pleased with the turnaround here and would definitely say they made up for the poor experience last year. See you next year for the 2025 marathon!

Sean was such an amazing server. He knew about key items on the menu and they didn't disappoint. To start had a round of the Grand Hennessy. For appetizer we had the lump crab and spinach dip and fried Calamari. Bit appetizers were delicious. The valuation was the perfect mix of crunchy and soft if that makes sense. Seasoned to perfection. The crab and spinach dip was creamy and the garlic bread crisps were to die for. Must try item for sure. For entrees we enjoyed the redfish pontchartrain, crispy seared Atlantic salmon with a side of truffle potatoes, and the salmon Alexander. When I say the food is AMAZINGGGG! I had a pineapple refresher and it was a mix between a Moscow mule and a margarita. Delish way to end dinner. The ambiance is festive, yet modern. The whole atmosphere is a vibe. I'll def be back. I love the customer service and the food was hella tasty. 9 1/2 out of 10. I was def not disappointed.

It has the look and feel of a chain, and some slow wait-times and service, but Pappasito's still delivers the tex-mex flavor where it counts. We came out to Houston, and found the best of the best Tex-Mex. We did a salsa crawl.. Which is what it sounds like, trying salsa at the following restaurants: Ninfa's, El Tiempo, and Pappasito's. Below is how I scored Pappasito's and what I recommend getting. (all ratings are out of 10) Chips - 7.4 Salsa - 6.7 Queso - 8.2 Marg - 8.1 Pappasito's definitely hit the tex-mex spot we were looking for. It was a great restaurant to jump into and beat the heat, as it was nicely air conditioned. The restaurant is huge and it feels like a large chain, which has its pros and cons. We got to sit in an isolated area with a 2 year old. It was very nice. The downside was that we didn't get the waiter's attention a lot, and the service was pretty slow. It delayed a lot of our time with the amount we spent at the table waiting for drink refills, and our check, but beyond that the food was solid. I would say that it scored the lowest out of the three places we tried, but don't mistake that for it being bad. I would definitely go back and try some entrees from this place. I think the shining star of my meal was the strawberry margarita. It was very tasty and had a great alcohol to drink ratio.

This place was an unexpected winner on a recent trip through Houston. We stayed in the hotel, and the restaurant was right there... so we thought "why not?" From the moment we entered, we were greeted with so much friendliness and hospitality. Everyone we met was super nice, and our waiter, Andrew, was really cool. He was open to explaining and making suggestions. He did offer some substitutions that ended up being extra charges, which he did not inform us of up front, but it was not a big deal in the end, as I think he was legitimately just trying to help. I started my meal with this gorgeous frozen margarita that had strawberry and hibiscus swirled in. It was as delicious as it was huge. For a starter, we ordered guacamole with chips, and the portion was so huge that we couldn't finish it! This was especially true after our vegetable fajitas arrived. It was an insane amount of food, and we tried hard to stuff ourselves silly, but it was not possible to finish. Those tortillas, though... oh man, I still dream of those tortillas and wish I had one now. Nothing on my plate tasted bad, and the experience was such a pleasant one.
